Early printing (lacking Harper's statement but with "L-H" code for November 1958 upon copyright page). xiv, 242 pages. Hardcover: H 24.25cm x L 16.25cm. Dust jacket rubbed and soiled; chip at top of front panel; other small chips, short tears, and some creasing; author's lettering on spine well faded; past owner's ink signature along front flap's terminal margin; front flap is not price-clipped. Blue cloth; bright black and gilt stamping to spine. Past owner's ink signature at top of front pastedown; small stain on page 115; interior leaves are otherwise clean. Binding is firm.
