About the Author: Marcus Winter is a researcher in the Archaeology Section of the Oaxaca Regional Center of the Mexican National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH). He received a PhD degree in Anthropology, specializing in archaeology, from the University of Arizona in Tucson, and is the author of many publications in both English and Spanish on various aspects of Oaxacan archaeology.
