About the Author
David Lawrence's political blogs and letters have appeared in Eagle Rising, American Thinker, Daily Caller, Intellectual Conservative, Canada Forum, Tea Party Nation, Washington Times, New York Post, New York Daily News world Net Daily, Fullosia Press and USA Today. In 2007 Four Way Books published David Lawrence's book, "Lane Changes." It was a runner-up for the Levis Prize. It was his fifth poetry book. In 2012 Rain Mountain Press published David Lawrence's memoir-- "The King of White-Collar Boxing." David Lawrence has also published more than seven hundred poems in North American Review, Atlanta Review, Poet Lore, The Antioch Review, Ascent, Nimrod, Bellowing Ark, Redivider, California Quarterly, Pearl, Confrontation, Bogg, The South Carolina Review, ACM, Mudfish, Hayden's Ferry Review, Terminus, Barbaric Yawp, Green Hills Literary Lantern, New Laurel Review, Coe, Cortland Review, Cimarron Review, Deronda Review, Spillway, Skidrow Penthouse, The Stray Branch, Tribeca Poetry Review, Drexel Online Journal, Writer's Journal, Adirondack Review, Main Street Rag, etc., etc. David Lawrence has a Ph.D. in English literature. He was the President and CEO of several Wall Street insurance agencies in three states and handled millions of dollars in premiums. While pursuing his business career he engaged in sports and became a ranked professional boxer, a ranked USTA tennis player and a ranked slalom and giant slalom ski racer in the Eastern Ski Association. In retirement he did three rap albums and a jazz album and starred in a movie at Sundance Film Festival. He teaches boxing at Gleason's Gym and has written a memoir and five books of poetry.
