DENNIS KAFURA brings 20 years of teaching and research in object-oriented programming, operating systems, and software engineering to this book. He is a professor at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Department of Computer Science. He holds professional association memberships with the Association for Computing Machinery and the IEEE Computer Society. Kafura has published papers in both the major European (ECOOP) and American (OOPSLA) conferences.
