This textbook explores both the theoretical foundations of software engineering as well as the principles and practices of various object-oriented tools, processes, and products. It emphasizes practical experience whereby participants can apply the techniques learned in class by implementing a real-world software project.
BERND BRUEGGE is a Professor in the Computer Science Department at the Technical University of Munich and an Adjunct Professor in the Computer Science Department at Carnegie Mellon University. He is the recipient of the 1995 Herbert A Simon Award for Excellence in Teaching in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University.
ALLEN H. DUTOIT is a Research Scientist in the Computer Science Department at the Technical University of Munich. His research interests include several areas of software engineering and object-oriented systems. He was previously affiliated with the Software Engineering Institute and the Institute for Complex Engineered Systems at Carnegie Mellon University.
