Hardcover. Bound in the original full leather with maroon title label stamped 'Rush's Pringle.' Leather is edgeworn, faded, scuffed and stained, but is still holding together perfectly well. Original hinges still intact. Ownership name on front endpaper in blue ink says 'John Bush MD Vassalboro Maine, Great grandfather of Mrs. Margaret Bush Higgins Townsend Mass.' Title page dated 1812. xlvii + 411 pages. Paper toned from age, but text block tight, pages clean. A few illustrations in the text. Benjamin Rush signed the Declaration of Independence on behalf of Pennsylvania along with Benjamin Franklin, Robert Morris, George Clymer and a handful of others. This book was first published in England in the 1760s, but not in the US until this edition. Please email with questions or to request photos.

Regular shipping by USPS Media Mail is $4. MEDIA MAIL SHIPPING DOES NOT INCLUDE TRACKING.
