Observations on the Theory and Cure of the Venereal Disease. By John Andree and printed in London for W. Davis. 1779, 146 pp, 8 x 5 , 8vo, hardcover leather rebind. In good rebound condition, with minor scuffing and wear to boards. Hinges remain tight and text block remains bound well. Light marginalia and markings to front and back. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A rather scarce piece by John Andree (born c. 1740), a British surgeon and medical writer. While never a primary surgeon at any large hospital, Andree did perform periodic operations, including the first successful tracheotomy in 1782. COLN779BLNX-1123-aj0654.
