[10],222,[2]pp. Portrait frontis., illus., plates. Orig. period-style speckled calf-backed cloth, gilt-ruled raised spine bands, brown morocco spine label, marbled boards, T.e.g., housed in cloth slipcase. Fine. Tooley 399. One of 443 numbered copies. Repton was the successor to "Capability" Brown as the architect of the grounds and gardens of the late 18th century British gentry. He was known for his making watercolor drawings of his proposals of the grounds he proposed to improve for his clients.
