About this title

Synopsis

"The more you know about yourself and the way you put things together, the more you can bring yourself out in the art that you produce." —A Net in Time

Create new and exciting moments for creativity and inspiration in the everyday. Observe, Collect, Draw is a beautiful visual journal which will help you use data and design solutions to enrich your inner life and build productive habits for success. From the coauthors of Dear Data—hailed as a book of “visual poetry” for data collectors, designers, illustrators, and students—Observe, Collect, Draw! offers a mini crash course in information design. By visualizing data, you can become aware of the hidden processes that control yourself and the world around you.

Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned data design professional, this interactive journal will encourage you to expand your creative efforts and goals through personal data collection. Activities and exercises teach you how to document the world through colors, lines, shapes, and design, making data visual as well as informative and inspiring.

This is the ideal data design companion for anyone:

• Interested in self-improvement
• Looking for unique approaches to data design
• Ready to experiment with new techniques in drawing

A perfect blend of science and art, this is a how-to book that sparks creativity and critical thinking. It makes an excellent addition to STEM education and a dynamic gift for lifelong learners.
