The Obtuse Angler - Volume 1: 4 Years a Fool: From Normal Guy to Abnormal Fly Fisherman

This is fly fishing from a whole new angle. Experience the true, four-year misadventure of a life-long suburbanite who buys a dilapidated cabin in a Colorado mountain paradise. He blunders from one giant cluster to the next when he takes up fly fishing and 4-wheeling, only to discover that he has met his match among the 14,000 ft. peaks of the Rocky Mountains. Among the dozens of stories, you'll encounter a floating, redneck trailer-park, 10:30 a.m. margaritas at 12,000 ft. and New Years public nudity. And along the way you'll meet real-life oddballs like the slightly off-kilter brother-in-law with a heart of gold, Grandpa Happy, Captain Nutsack and Dumbass - the inept fishing guide. Seriously, what does a guy have to do to catch a fish around here?

Chris Curtin is a small-business owner and life-long suburbanite, who at the age of 50 decided to buy a cabin in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. It turns out that no one was ever less qualified to be a mountain man.
