Guy L. McCormack, PhD, OTR/L, FAOTA, has been an educator, researcher, and author for 25 years. He was the founder and chairman of the Master of Occupational Therapy Program at Samuel Merritt College in Oakland, CA. He has worked as a home health practitioner with the Sutter Visiting Nurses Association and Hospice in Emeryville, CA. In addition to his doctorate in human science, he has received extensive training in traditional Chinese medicine and has many certificates in alternative/complementary forms of medicine.
Evelyn G. Jaffe, MPH, OTR, FAOTA, is an assistant professor at Samuel Merritt College in Oakland, CA. She has been a consultant in occupational therapy for more than 35 years, specializing in community mental health, high-risk infants, school-age parents, and primary prevention in the workplace. She earned her master's degree from the School of Public Health at the University of Michigan.
Marcia Goodman-Lavey, JD, OTR/L, is an occupational therapist and attorney. She is adjunct assistant professor in the Master of Occupational Therapy Program at Samuel Merritt College in Oakland, CA. Her academic work includes teaching students about the role of the occupational therapy practitioner in advocacy and legislative issues. She has worked in medical and legal positions as a manager, consultant, entrepreneur, and employee. She has served as a legislative bill reviewer and was chair of the Government Affairs Committee for the Occupational Therapy Association of California. She also was a board member for the American Occupational Therapy Political Action Committee.
