The collected edition of the first year of the popular French magazine Lectures Pour Tous. Lectures Pour Tous is a French magazine created in 1898 by Victor Tissot and published by Hachette. First published as a supplement to the Almanac Hachette in 1894, he became bimonthly from 1898, then weekly from 1954. In 1930, it absorbed Around the World in 1939 and I know Everything. In 1971 it merged with the journal Constellation and ceased publication in 1974. With numerous illustrations throughout, including sections on Bismarck and Rembrandt. In a half-calf binding. Externally generally smart, lightly rubbed in places with some wear to the extremities. Hinges tender and cords visible to front and rear board.
