NYC Big Book Award Winner in Childrens-Humor!
Introducing the first in a series of amusing, adorably illustrated stories starring the gassy little pug that started it all.
Hilarious pug Phoebe is back, but she is not alone. See what happens when an unexpected new member enters the household.
Follow the silly antics as our number one velcro dog wrestles with sharing the spotlight. Of course, with its classic curly tail and squishy face, only a pug can pull off being both naughty and irresistible.
Double the chaos. Double the fun. Another laugh-out-loud, read-aloud story perfect for children ages 2-8 and dog (and cat!) lovers of all ages.
"Ode to a Pug (THAT CAT!) is perfect for young cat and dog lovers alike, as it beautifully portrays the uniquely lovable personalities of these pets, making it a must-read for all animal enthusiasts." —The Children’s Book Review"Highly recommended for bedtime giggles, classroom read-alouds, or any home currently negotiating fur sibling peace!" — The Starlit Path
"Whether kids or parents have a furry family member, or just happen to appreciate pet stories, they will all get laughs galore from this amusing story of an established pet trying to come to terms with a new arrival." — The Fairview Review
"With delightful rhymes and playful pictures, Ode to a Pug: That Cat! crafts an entertaining and heart-melting story about friendship, acceptance of differences and adaptation to change." — icefairy's Treasure Chest
"Told in rhyming verse, with big feelings and even bigger expressions, this book is perfect for kids who love pets, giggles, and a little bit of chaos. The pug’s complaints are totally relatable, and the illustrations are as funny as the words." -The TipToe Fairy
"Kids will love the silliness of this story, and some of the outright naughty or stinky! With simple and cute illustrations, this one makes for a great book for dog & cat lovers. The rhythmic, rhyming, sing-song style makes for a great read-aloud!" -Mrs. Makes Reading Fun

Store description
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
