Eleven volumes.Bound in full calf.With frontispieces, illuminated letters, headpieces and 6 plates to 'Contes de Nouvelles', 2 to 'Comedies 2', 3 to 'Comedies 3', 3 to 'Comedies 2', 3 to 'Nouvelles', 5 to 'Poesies 2', 3 to ' Confession' and 3 to 'poesies 1'.This set features a collection of works by the French poet and novelist Alfred de Musset. The collection includes the authors poems, novels, comedies and an autobiography written by his brother Paul de Musset. Bound in full calf. Externally very smart with the odd minor mark, fading to the spines and to the head of the rear boards to 'Comedies 2' and 'Contes Et Nouvelles', slight cracking to the leather to the front board and loss to a corner of the front free endpaper to 'Biographie'. Bookplate belonging to a 'R. A. Ploets' to the front pastedowns. Internally firmly bound with light age toning, heavier to the front and rear blanks, and clean pages. Very Good.
