(32mo) 14x8 cm (5½x3¼"), period tree calf with gilt spines, morocco spine labels lettered in gilt, marbled endpapers and edges. Text in French. Nouvelle Edition. Handsomely bound 20 volume set of the works of Jean-Jacques Rousseau. Rousseau was a Francophone Genevan philosopher, writer, and composer of the 18th century. His political philosophy influenced the Enlightenment in France and across Europe, as well as aspects of the French Revolution and the overall development of modern political and educational thought.Lot AmendmentsCondition:Varying amounts of wear and scuffing to leather with rubbing to extremities, a handful of volumes with some loss and peeling to spines, vol. 5 with vertical split to spine leather at joint; each volume with decorative bookplate with name blacked out, darkening to endpaper edges, interiors solid with light toning and bits of light foxing; overall very good.

Shipping Costs: For books within the US: Ground UPS $8 for first volume, $4 for each additional volume. Heavy volumes cost more. Prints and posters $20.00 for 1-3. Most foreign shipments by airmail are $17.00 up to 1 pound or $60.00 up to 2.2 kilos by courier. For all other shipments, please inquire.
UPS shipments are insured for $100.00 automatically. Higher amounts available. If merchandise is damaged in transit, customer must save shipping container and file a claim with UPS or other carrier. Do not return merchandise without having first filed the claim and received a return authorization.
