About this Item

Very pretty two volume set of the works of Racine: black and pink speckled cover; leather spine, great amoeba endpapers in black and blue and illustrations throughout for each play. In very good Condition, these have some scuffing to the edges and a wee scrape to the top of volume two (see Photos). Leather spine embossed with gilt flourishes, gilt name and 1-2 , 3/4 . Name stamped in blue on half titles: Leonce Riby. Very Good Condition: 12mo (5 1/2 X 3 5/8 ): Two Volumes: French: pink and black mottled boards with brown leather embossed spine: gilt embossed flourishes on spine: scuffing to edges and papers loss on volume two: corners bent and scuffed: ameoba marbled endpapers in black and blue: illustrations for each play marked F.
