His works are notable for his use of the French alexandrine (dodecasyllabic), and the elegance and purity of his writing.Illustrated with a frontispiece and twelve full page plates. Collated, complete. In the original publisher's quarter straight up grain morocco binding over cloth covered boards. Externally sound with minor shelf wear, chipped to head and tail of spine and extremities, boards lightly marked. Internally, firmly bound. Occasional light spotting and offsetting to odd leaf, otherwise pages bright and clean. Very Good.
