About the Author
Daniel C. Peterson teaches Islamic studies and Arabic at Brigham Young University. Following his studies in Provo, Jerusalem, and Cairo, he earned a doctorate in Near Eastern languages and cultures at UCLA. He has served as chairman of the board of trustees for the Foundation for Ancient Research and Mormon Studies (FARMS) at BYU. Stephen D. Ricks is professor of Hebrew and Semitic languages at Brigham Young University. He earned his doctorate in Near Eastern religions at UC Berkeley and Graduate Theological Union, and he has also studied at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He is currently a member of the FARMS board of trustees.
