Grosset & Dunlap on the spine and no where else. This is a special book. Here are our observations on it's history. First published in 1907 by Chatterton-Peck Company. This title is the first in a popular series. When Grosset and Dunlap published this volume, presumably (going by the xmas 1909 date on front end flap) in 1909, it was as Chatterton-Peck was closing its doors, and from what we can tell the third book in this series had not been printed yet. So in closing, this book represents the crossover from Chatterton to Grosset during the creation of this 8 book series. We could be completely wrong. We defer to the more knowledgeable folks out there if you so choose to confirm or correct our observations on this special book. Good to very good inside and out with light handling smudges, tiny spotting on page front end tips, random light staining, fade and wear to boards. See pictures for further description.
