Kaitlin Davis has moved back to Seattle, Washington, to take an executive job and to put behind her the remnants of a twelve-year relationship. But when she meets her new boss, Cynthia Perry, Kaitlin knows that she is in trouble. Soon she finds herself giving in to the kind of love she thought she would never know again.
The breeze shifted direction and Kaitlan was again aware of the scent Cynthia wore as it drifted past her nose. It brought up a flash of desire so brilliant and sudden that Kaitlan took a physical step from the power of it.
Unfortunately, the step she took put her even closer to the source. Almost in Cynthia's arms, Kaitlan looked down at her and swallowed against the ache she felt.
"Kaitlan...." Cynthia's eyes were wide, but she made no attempt to move away. Kaitlan put her hands on Cynthia's shoulders and stared into her face.
"It would be so easy to fall into your eyes and drown," she said. "And I don't think I would fight at all."
