1927. St. Mary's Convent, Wantage. A Very Scarce book. 3rd Edition. A Hardback in Good condition without dust wrapper which is as originally issued. Publisher's original green cloth covered boards with lettering in gilt. Spine dulled and darkened. Some wear/rubbing to boards and the occasional mark. Softening and bumping to spine ends and corners. A few tiny marks/spots to endpapers, and some almost imperceptible age-toning. The spine remains firm and the pages are basically clean and unmarked by underlinings/marginalia etc. Small tear (1 cm.) to one page and some darkening due to handling/holding (?) at foot of some pages. "This edition represents a revised later edition, issued around the time of Palmer's death (he passed away in June 1926). These mid-1920s editions are highly regarded because they capture the final, perfected plainchant adaptations left "by the hand of the master"".
