"This 4.625 x 6.875 inch, 240 page softcover book is the stated sixth edition of this title with a copyright of 1928 shown on the copyright page. This is an authentic copy of this title and not a reprint, with the olive-brown textured stiff wrappers showing handling wear - - especially at the corners and spine extremities - - but really the wrapper front and back is in at least good condition with the illustrated large US map with scout and indian tipi's across the landscape and the seal of the Boy Rangers of America all shown on the cover with the price of 50 cents. There is one single inked name on the outside front cover but that is the only mark seen outside or in. The interior pages are again in at least good condition with the glue holding the text block to the stiff wrappers showing a touch of separation at the spine but really the handbook is still in firm and complete condition; The handbook is modeled after the Boy Scout handbook with an apparent similarities in design and terminology. The text of this handbook includes an introduction to the Boy Rangers with a history of the concepts, "Synopsis of Program," "Duty of Parents," etc. - - then moving towards chapters on programming, camps and camping, ranger symbols, etc. The book does contain numerous black-and-white photographs and sketches to illustrate the Ranger program. 240 pages.".
