Green marbled boards with gilt stamped border and lettering on front cover, All page edges green. Title page vignette of young Boy Ranger, a few black and white photos, in-text drawings. The covers are worn and a bit scuffed, the page edges are also worn. The text block is starting to weaken, but there are no loose pages. There's some tanning to the pages, but the contents are otherwise clean. All-in-all, still a nice copy. ; An introductory guide to the Boy Rangers organization, the book is divided into three parts, Public and Parents, The Guide, and The Boy. The text is Illustrated with black and white drawings and photos. ; In-text illustrations; 16mo 6" - 7" tall; vii, 160 pages; According to the book's introduction, the Boy Rangers of America was organized for boys of 8 to 12 years of age; those who were too young to join the Boy Scouts but were still old enough to "exercise initiative." The Boy Rangers were founded by Emerson Brooks, a Boy Scouts of America commissioner and by 1930, had merged into the BSA to become part of the Boy Scouts' Cubbing program.
