This 1928 version of the Official Map of Colusa County is an updated edition of the original 1891 map (also done by Felknor). 58 1/2 x 40 inches. linen-backed. Very good condition. OCLC only locates 4 copies.A useful reference as it give the names of the property owners. Coulsa Counthy, then as now, is chiefly known for its rice and almond production. The county was named after the 1844 Rancho Colus Mexican land grant to John Bidwell. With a total population of only about 22,000 it is sparsely populated. It is quite familiar to those who drive the I-5 and through the towns of Arbunkle, Grimes, Maxwell and Williams.
