Light creasing of the wraps at the head, light wave from shrinkage to the wrap above the paper title label, the author's name "Sandford" adjacent to the spine of the back.; This essay is the author's reminiscence of his father Christopher Sandford; printer, publisher, and a principal of Chiswick and Golden Cockerel Press. Casual and personal, the essay is primarly about life with his father and events in Christopher Sandford's life. Tipped in is a sepia-toned photograph of the Directors of Chiswick Press, including Christopher Sandford. This bound essay is an offprint from Matrix 3, 1983. Matrix was published by The Whittington Press of John and Rosalind Randle. Matrix was an annual compendium of essays and printing samples related to book design, typography, letterpress, and all things related to the book arts. Each issue had the writing or featured the work of many practitioners. Far from being the usual compendium of the arts, Matrix was written by experts, for experts. Paginated 1-4, so 4 pp. On cream, laid paper. In stiff, mould made, dark green paper wraps with paper title label. This 4to sized book is 11" x 7 3/4". Shipping terms
Shipping by United States Postal Service is preferred for the USA and most countries. Shipping by FedEx and UPS is available. Heavier items may incur an additional shipping charge. Items valued at $100 and above are shipped with Signature Required if that service is available.
