About the Author

Professor Dr. Hans J�rgen Ohlbach: Nach seinem Studium der Physik und Mathematik an der Universit�t Mainz wechselte er in die Informatik und arbeitet auf dem Gebiet K�nstliche Intelligenz und Automatisches Beweisen. Er promovierte1988 an der Technischen Universit�t Kaiserslautern zu einem Thema der nichtklassischen Logik. Anschlie�end war er f�r 5 Jahre stellvertretender Direktor am Max-Planck Institut f�r Informatik in Saarbr�cken. Von 1996 an arbeitete er in London, zun�chst am Imperial College, und dann am King's College, bis er im Jahr 2000 an das Institut f�r Informatik der Ludwig-Maximilians Universit�t in M�nchen berufen wurde.Dort war er �ber 10 Jahre als Studiendekan ma�geblich an der Einf�hrung und Gestaltung der Bachelor- und Masterstudieng�nge beteiligt.

Dr. Norbert Eisinger studierte Informatik (Diplom) an der Universit�t Karlsruhe und promovierte im Fachbereich Informatik der Universit�t Kaiserslautern. Nach einigen Jahren an einem industriellen Forschungszentrum arbeitete er seit 1993 als wissenschaftlicher Angestellter am Institut f�r Informatik der Universit�t M�nchen. Dort unterrichtete er unter Anderem Themen der theoretischen Informatik und sammelte dabei viel Erfahrung mit typischen Schwierigkeiten, die mathematische Themen bei vielen Studierenden verursachen.
