What does it mean to shine? How can we spread the light within us? Can we burn too brightly? Introducing The Oil Lamp. A potter lovingly forms a new vessel and uses it to shine his light. Oil Lamp must overcome fear and stop hiding under a bowl. When it does, it becomes too proud and burns others. Anyone afraid to tell others of their faith or boldly driven others away will identify with The Oil Lamp. The author's warm illustrations beautifully enhance this charming allegory about shining our light and sharing testimonies. A valuable teaching tool for parents and educators, The Oil Lamp is a simple yet profound story about shining bright.
The Story of The Little Pot and The Tea Pot Continues.
What does the bible say about letting your light shine?
In this third episode of "The Little Pot" and "The Tea Pot," the potter forms a new vessel named Oil Lamp. After the Oil Lamp is created, it is too shy to shine for the potter and hides under a bowl. It must learn to shine so that it gives light without burning others. Through the testimonies of Tea Pot and Little Pot, Oil Lamp realizes its purpose is to shine for its creator.
Children will discover that the light within them can spread peace and goodness to others when they overcome fear and shine.
Let Your Light Shine
Scriptures on letting your light shine will come to life as children enjoy hearing this allegory of the potter and His newest creation. Teach children how to shine their light with this beautiful picture book.
