THIRD PRINTING hardcover, sewn-bound in red cloth, with black lettering on front cover, and gilt lettering on spine, is in G condition, having corners slightly bumped and worn; NOTE: our camera has quirk in it where it sometimes renders the cloth binding of books with a sort of moire effect image pattern--those images do not reflect the true appearance--any real defects are noted; spine slightly faded, with gilt darkened (see photo); some wear to front cover: along top and right side edge; also back cover has a horizontal wear strip a bit above center mark; some fraying to right side of spine near top; very small stain on vertical closed pages edge (does not affect interior pages); book was originally published with uncut pages, so there is some raggedness noticed on bottom closed page edge, where former owner separated them with a hard edge; after the last page of the novel, there are some pages of advertisements for some of Sinclair other works, and one page (p.533) has been torn about halfway, with half of page completely missing.
