The Old Bedtime Pass Puncher
Is your child struggling to go and stay in bed?
Kip calls these 'curtain calls'. They want to get something, they want a drink, they want to go to the toilet, see what you are doing...the list can go on and on!
The Old Bedtime Puncher is for you! Follow Kip as he takes Molly on a fun adventure to learn about an evidenced-based technique called the Bedtime Pass.
This technique helps to limit the number of times your child can come out of the room before bedtime, and allows the child to make the choice about what they really want your help with at bedtime.
Developed by Australia's leading children's research hospital, these stories are backed by 20 years of research to support healthy sleep habits.
Hi, I'm Professor Harriet Hiscock, a paediatrician and senior researcher at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute in Melbourne, Australia, where I have led two decades of research into baby and child sleep. Along with my team, I have conducted world-first trials of parent-led strategies to improve infant sleep, sleep in children and sleep in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
My team has followed babies and children over time, demonstrating that these sleep strategies not only improve sleep in children but can also improve parent sleep and mental health. My work provides evidence that these strategies are safe for children. Sleep with Kip brings together two decades of internationally renowned work to provide evidence-based support for children and families.
