This is a Very Good Copy of this book in 1/4 brown calf over marbled boards with 5 raised bands to spine and with brown moroccan title label to spine lettered in gilt to the second compartment and with gilt devices to the remaining compartments on the spine.With matching marbled endpapers to the page edges which are all marbled.There are no previous names or inscriptions present.Complete with 6 engraved plates including the frontispiece and ornamental title page engraving.The binding remains firm with no hinge weakness.There is some rubbing and wear along edge of spine and to the head and tail of spine.Lovely clean copy with just a few foxing spots to the endpapers and title page.This copy was acquired from an impressive lifetime's collection of books on Big Game Hunting and shooting in the UK Asia,The Far East,America,Canada,Africa and New Zealand.8vo (xiv) 350pp Third Edition Stated to the Title Page [1853].
