Then the narrator experiences the loss of this influential woman in their life and realises that although she is gone, their grandmother lives on in their love of dancing and the joy of life.

About the Author

Alyssa has been teaching for 30+ years. She has a Graduate Diploma in Creative Writing from Deakin University, is a member of the Australian Fairy Tale Society, an oral storyteller (specialising in folk and fairy tales) is a former journalist and sub-editor, a former English teacher and a lover of the ability of stories to transform and transport us into our shared humanity.
