TWO YOUNG SOULS, TWO CENTURIES, ONE CITY.

1817 Ireland - Allen Hamilton crosses the Atlantic alone to find a way to save his family from social ruin and starvation before it's too late.

2018 Fort Wayne, Indiana - A gifted teen artist suffering from debilitating grief finds healing and inspiration through Irish genealogy when she unearths Allen Hamilton's noble rise in Antebellum America.

Based on a 200-year-old letter collection, this clean, YA novel brings to life and weaves together this true story of faith, hope, and redemption while sweeping up the reader in this dual-timeline, summer coming-of-age story, coupled with the adventure of life on the American Frontier.

Wendy Wilson Spooner is a Genetic Genealogist by day, a writer by night, and an artist in between. Her love of what we can learn from history compels her to write the true stories she unearths during research because she has found that truth is, indeed, much more exciting and inspiring than fiction. Wendy writes about family, faith, grief, art, and overcoming obstacles in life by coming to know who we really are-children of God and the descendants of remarkable people who paved the way for us-even if they really struggled. Wendy believes in learning from our ancestors, honoring them, and then standing on their shoulders to become someone even better. As an award-winning author and artist, Wendy turned to novel writing to share what she knows with a greater audience. Wendy currently serves as a board member of the St. George Arts Commission and as a board member of Every Name Counts, LLC. She formerly served as a National Vice Chair for Daughters of the American Revolution and as chairman of the advisory board of Century Vital Records in Bengaluru, India. When Wendy isn't writing, she loves to hike, bike, read, binge on movies, and spend time with her greatest loves, her family.
