Once A Lover ALways A Fool

Is the first book by Zimbabwean born wordsmith Philani Amadeus Nyoni. In this offering he examines, moral decadence, gender roles, love, religion and other spheres of existence in a simple story of love, loss and renewal told in 46 poems of astounding quality and craftsmanship. The language is rich and imagery almost palatable, he borrows well from the traditional forms of English poetry with a touch of the new, witty puns, effortless rhymes, arresting rhythm, brain sweating paradox and a touch of insanity. Nostalgic and progressive, mischievous and illuminating, shocking and entertaining, a diverse read with something for everyone.

Philani A. Nyoni is a distinguished poet from the City of Kings, Bulawayo. His work ranges from the Written Word, the Spoken Word through to the Performance Arts were he majors in Theatre.
