Once Upon a Pandemic: A Pastor Companions an Ohio Congregation

Congregational traditions face new challenges and joys today amidst a global pandemic and its immediate aftermath. This volume offers the weekly spiritual reflections, "Beside Still Waters," shared from one pastor to his congregation from spring 2020 to autumn of 2024. First from isolation, then amidst the challenges of reopening and responding to unprecedented challenges to innovate yet deepen faith-life, provide more services with fewer participants, Brian Maguire gives voice to the depth of one theological tradition living and breathing anew toward truth and grace. A good resource for pastors, congregations, and practitioner-scholars of religious leadership, Once Upon a Pandemic invites a body to remember, to grieve, to learn, to pray, ultimately to grow and deepen one's capacity to be faithful through these challenging times, stumbling toward a grace that beckons one and all.
