Once Upon a Wedding

"Edith Morgan-Smith owns a restaurant in Baltimore and had made a comfortable living. She successfully raises twins alone, after the death of her husband when they were two years old. They are now completing Medical school. She love her life in Baltimore, the furthest trip away was to Washington D.C. Now she had to travel from Baltimore to Texas, to be the Maid of Honor for her best friend, Norma’s wedding. Edith could not help feeling that this trip was a mistake. Norma Jean Gray-Taylor and Edith became friends as teens. Norma had picked Edith to be her best friend because she knew that no one else would tolerate her self-centered attitude.This wedding was going to be the grandest wedding in Texas, or Norma will die trying to make it so. Along with the invitation there was an agenda that listed a number of events leading up to the wedding. There were brunches, dinners, and a formal rehearsal dinner in Mexico.Norma married money young, while she lived in Baltimore. However when that marriage ended she moved to Texas to make her fortune. Now she was marrying a man who wealth was more than she could ever dream. Edith’s world and Norma’s world were miles apart. Edith knew Norma would critic her clothing choices and would try to select a rich husband for her. She also knew that Norma loved her. Edith loved Norma it’s just that she did not like her at times.
