Large octavo. 304pp. Contemporary light tan with three gilt fillet borders, outermost thicker than the other two. Decorative corner pieces at the angles, with another border of fleur-de-lys. Decorative gilt tooling around the portrait of Christ within a small oval, with rays radiating in all four directions. Pattern repeated on lower cover. Flat spine decorated in gilt with floral sprays, a large fleur-de-lys and banderoles. Title, printer, and place of publication gilt on spine. All edges gilt. With nine engravings, three hand-colored by J. G. Chapman.
