Open Communion: Or The Principles Of Restricted Communion Examined And Proved To Be Unscriptural And False (1853)

Open Communion: Or The Principles Of Restricted Communion Examined And Proved To Be Unscriptural And False is a book written by S. W. Whitney in 1853. The book explores the principles of open and restricted communion in Christianity. Whitney argues that the practice of restricting communion to only certain members of the church is not supported by Scripture and is therefore false. He examines the historical and theological arguments for both open and restricted communion and provides a detailed analysis of the biblical passages related to the topic. The book also includes a discussion of the practical implications of open and restricted communion for the church and its members. Overall, Open Communion is a comprehensive examination of a controversial topic in Christian theology that remains relevant today. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
