Opera, Quae Extant Omnia Nunc Primum in Anglia

Opera, Quae Extant Omnia Nunc Primum In Anglia by Bonifatius is a Latinate edition of the works attributed to Saint Boniface, the Archbishop of Mainz. This volume presents the Epistles of Boniface, along with prefatory material, a life of Saint Boniface, and accompanying notes and readings. Edited by J. A. Giles, LL.D., a Church of England presbyter and former fellow of Corpus Christi College, Oxford, this edition assembles the major relics of Boniface’s letters in a uniform sequence, alongside the historical and biographical context of his mission in Germany and England. The Prospectus at the beginning outlines a planned complete edition of the Patres Ecclesiae Anglicanae and documents the scholarly apparatus, including notes and variant readings. This work serves as a crucial resource for the study of Boniface’s mission, early English ecclesiastical history, and Latin patristic letters.
