[16], 402, [12], 600 pages. Folio (375x245 mm). Contemporary full calf. Title-page in black & red lettering. Raised bands. Gilt lettering on spine with decorative boards and between bands on spine. Corners bumped and little scuffed. Even browning on a few pages. Text in latin & greek. Text often on two colums, and each colums is paginated. Pagination : (14), 402, (12), 600, (12), 810, (2), (12), 656, (74). French jurist Jacques Cujas (1522-1590), also sometimes given as Jacobus Cujacius, was a Professor of Law at the University of Bourges, and his best-known work seems to be "Commentaries on Roman Law" (1578).
