Bel ritratto dell'autore all'antiporta del primo volume, vignette a ciascun frontespizio, testate, capolettera e finalini in xilografia. Solida legatura coeva in mezza pergamena con piccole punte, dorsi lisci con titoli in oro su doppi tasselli. Esemplare genuino e marginoso; carte a tratti un po' arrossate ed un foro di tarlo limitato all'appendice finale del secondo volume. Alla fine dell'opera di Sydenham appaiono (con autonomi frontespizi) i trattati di G. Musgrave: Arthritide symptomatica, dissertatio; Arthritide anomala, sive interna, dissertatio. Cfr. Garrison and Morton (63): "Sydenham is one of the greatest figures in internal medicine, and has been called the Father of English Medicine. His reputation rests on his first-hand accounts of such conditions as the material fevers of his times, gout, scarlatina, measles, etc.". Seller Inventory # 29776
