About the Authors

Dr. Ariel Pinto is an associate professor of engineering management and systems engineering at Old Dominion University. His works focus on multi-disciplinary approaches to risk management in engineered systems and systems engineering.

Dr. Luna Magpili is an associate professor of engineering management and technology at Washington State University. She graduated with a PhD in systems engineering from the University of Virginia and a BS and MS in industrial engineering from the University of the Philippines. She served at International Relief and Development managing disaster operations and rebuilding efforts around the globe.

Raed M. Jaradat is an assistant professor of industrial engineering in the department of industrial and systems engineering at Mississippi State University. Prior to joining Mississippi State University, he worked as a visiting assistant professor at Penn State University. He holds a BS in business, an MA in operations management, and PhD in engineering management from Old Dominion University.
