Early book of etiquette for the growing number of women in New England who were beginning to work outside the home, by an early member of the Massachusetts Anti-Slave Society and abolitionist. Octavo, original brown embossed cloth with gilt illustration to front cover and spine, spine with gilt letteirng. Very Good with modest to moderate foxing, ink ownership inscription to front endpaper, cloth worn at spine ends.
