The book has a lot of photographs of the people and leaders in the SS and shows many events in its history.There are extensive illustrations,both in B&W and Color,of propaganda posters,uniforms,insigna and medals,badges,armbands,flags,etc.The book goes into considerable detail to show how the roots of the SS are imbeded in ancient history. The book also details how the greatest minds and scientists worked in support of the Nazi Party through the Ahnenerbe,the SS University. The book will show the reader why the SS was so important to Hitler,what they believed in and why it became so powerful. In these days,where Terrorism is on the rampage again;it is very worthwile to read this book;as it shows how powerful an organization can become,if the people involved slavishly follow evil beliefs.It should also convince one that there is no reasoning with such a force;and the only way to deal with them,is their complete destruction.
