Ordinary Resilience: Rethinking How Effective Leaders Adapt and Thrive

Optimism x (Commitment + Persistence) = Resilience

Change, suffering, disappointment, failure—these are inevitable life experiences. Your response to them, though, is a choice you make.

Resilience in the midst of hardship is not an extraordinary characteristic shared by a select few. In fact, it's quite ordinary. We all have what it takes to not only survive adversity, but adapt and thrive—not despite setbacks, but because of them.

In Ordinary Resilience, Luis Velasquez shows how to unlock and strengthen innate resilience, preparing you to face whatever life throws your way. From growing up in poverty in the middle of a civil war in Guatemala to being diagnosed with a brain tumor, Luis understands what it means to navigate life's obstacles. He's helped hundreds of leaders thrive throughout change, and now he's sharing his framework to help you do the same. With client accounts, personal anecdotes, and professional insight, Luis provides you with a source of lifelong inspiration and a roadmap you'll return to in every challenge you face.
