The nineteen issues begin with volume 1, number 2 (undated but circa 1940) to volume 12, number 9, which was issued in september, 1950. These newsletters were issued by the state of Oregon, sent to subscribing libraries and scholars, and contain notices of state publications, articles on mineral production, on advances and activity in metallurgy, scientific developments, mining information, microchemistry, atomics, mining accident rates, gossip in the world of mineralogy, gold mining bullion robberies in eastern Oregon, and much more.
