Washington DC: Ocean. Very Good with No dust jacket as issued. 1860. Engraving. This scarce antique engraving has binders holes to left hand edge, (from where it was removed from the book) , light creasing to the same edge. Light foxing, and soilin mostly to margins. A great candidate for being matted and framed. Would make a unique gift. 9 By 11 1/2 Inches. Engraving. See Photos; "Nematogenys inermis is a species of mountain catfish, the only extant species in the family Nematogenyiidae. This species is endemic to Chile where it is found fresh waters in central Chile. This species grows to a length of 40.7 cm (16.0 in) The body is naked (without scales) and elongated. There are three pairs of barbels: chin (mental) barbels, maxillary barbels, and nasal barbels. There is no adipose fin. The opercle lacks spines.
