This is an original program for the Ballet Theatre for Season 1946-1947. The following are some of the contents: introductory statement by Lucia Chase and Oliver Smith; ballet repertory with synopses (may be a partial list); and black-and-white photographic portrait illustrations of Igor Youskevitch, Nora Kaye, Hugh Laing, Alicia Alonso, John Kriza, Lucia Chase, Michael Kidd, Dimitri Romanoff, and Muriel Bentley, among others. Some of the advertised products or businesses in this program: Elizabeth Arden, Capehart, Corday, and Magnavox. Ballet Theatre was founded in 1939 by Lucia Chase and Robert Pleasant. Chase's and Pleasant's ballet company changed its name to American Ballet Theatre (ABT) in 1957 and is still active to this day.
