Original publisher's silver-foil paper wrappers with staple binding. Illustration and lettering printed in black ink on front cover. Text printed on front cover: "San Francisco Opera Company; Gaetano Merola, General Director; Grand Opera Libretto; La Traviata; Verdi." No date, circa 1940s-1950s. 6" x 9." Unpaginated, c. thirty-six pages, complete. A few black-and-white illustrations, complete. Program is very clean and intact overall. Pages have slight age toning and a few folded corners. Covers have slight rubbing and a few wrinkles and creases. A Very Good copy. Program for an opera, La Traviata, which features the music of Giuseppe Verdi and a libretto by Francesco Maria Piave. The program includes the script of the opera and sheet music for Verdi's titular song. The opera was performed by the San Francisco Opera Company. Illustrations of the members of the San Francisco Opera Company are in the front and back.
