Unsigned sepia drawing, 170 x 130 mm. old horizontal crease, framed and glazed. Showing a fantasy creature trying to balance 12s 3d on the shilling side, with £11 6s on the pound side. This wonderful fantasy drawing was almost certainly sent to Peake's bank manager in the late 1940s. It bears a striking similarity to a series of drawings offered for sale by book dealer Rick Gekoski in 1983. See image of catalogue entries.
