Out of Context, Yet On Time: When God’s Word Speaks Beyond Its Setting

Is the Bible merely a historical document? Just a collection of ancient writings bound to their original setting?

Modern scholarship often insists that Scripture must be read only within its original context. Yet what if that approach, while valuable, also limits the very voice of God? What if the same God who once spoke through burning bushes and prophets still speaks today—sometimes through verses that seem “out of context,” yet arrive right on time for our lives?

Out of Context, Yet On Time explores this tension between context and revelation. This is not a rejection of study, but an invitation to see Scripture as more than history—as living waters that flow into every generation, quenching the thirst of all who listen.

Inside, you will discover:

• How Jesus and the Apostle Paul often quoted the Old Testament in ways that stretched beyond its original meaning—and why it was always Spirit-led and purposeful.

• The difference between carelessly misusing Scripture and receiving fresh revelation from it.

• Practical stories and examples of how God’s Word continues to speak directly into pain, fear, and hunger today.

• The danger of a “context-only” Christianity that prizes information about God over intimacy with Him.

The Word of God is living and active—sharper than any two-edged sword. It was never meant to remain on a shelf but to pierce hearts and transform lives. This book will challenge you to move beyond debates and academic boundaries, to drink deeply from the living well of Scripture, and to expect the Spirit to speak through it—out of context, yet perfectly on time.
